Movie shows the mysterious connection between a young boy from the mid west and a young girl from New York. Film is based on a best selling novel of the same name wriiten by Brian Selznick. Movie shows era of 1927 and 1970. In 1970 we have a young boy named Ben (Fegley) and in 1927 we have a young girl named Rose (Simmonds). Both of them wishes a different life. Rose lefts her home to find an mysterious actress Lilliyan (Julianne Moore) she has seem in her scrapbook. On the other hand, Ben also lefts his home in search for his missing father after her mother dies.
