Jia (Bingbing Li) is a scientist, whose brother Luke (Wu Chun) gets lost during a secret mission by a cosmetics corporation, searching for a rare flower that will be helpful for eternal life. A team is set up for the rescue mission including Kitteridge (Kelsey Grammer), CEO of the firm,paramedic Ridley (Kellan Lutz) and few others. Jia joins the team too and gets to the location where luke was last spotted and that leads them to a tomb located deep under the ground crawling with deadly web spiders. In this tomb, an emperor was buried two thousand years ago in the form of preserved mummy.
