Story is based on autobiographic book “Papillon” and “Banco”. Henri “Papillon” Charrière (Charlie Hunnam) is a safecracker belonging to Parisian underworld, who is framed for a murder and condemned to life on a Devil’s Island. To get freedom at any cost, he teams up with Louis Dega (Rami Malek), who will finance his escape. In order to gain freedom he need to win the most dangerous competition of fight in the prison.
