Story Line
Movie is based on a article written in 2008 “True Crimes – A postmodern murder mystery” by David Grann. Tadek (Jim Carrey) is one of the most honest detective in Poland, living with his aseptic wife Marta (Agata Kulesza). He is deeply surrounded with a old case under the leadership of his corrupt superior (Robert Wieckiewicz). In this case, person was brutally murdered and killer was never known. Tadek want to solve the case before his retirement. His prime suspect in the murder is Kozlow (Marton Csokas), a famous author, whose has written an article similar like the murder case. Greger (Robert Wieckiewicz) and other officers are afraid as Tadek decides to reopen the case, which may also link to them. His colleague Piotr (Vlad Ivanov) comes up with little help and comes up with the location of Kozlow’s girlfriend and single mother Kasia (Charlotte Gainsbourg).
