Overboard is remake of the movie of the same name released four decades ago.Leonardo (Eugenio Derbez) is a billionaire, selfish and cruel man from wealthy Mexican family, who hires a Kate (Anna Faris) a single working class mother to clean and repair his luxurious yacht. When work is done,he is not convinced with her work and dismisses her without any payment. Sometime later, Leonardo busy in celebrations, falls from the yacht into the open sea accidentally and loses his memory as a case of amnesia wakes on the Oregon coast. When Kate comes to know about the news of TV, she comes up with plan to pretend as his wife and appears at the hospital.
Now Kate uses this situation to get paid and make him believe that she is his wife. Believing that she is his wife,Leonardo movies into the house of Kate for which he is quite unprepared and totally inept but slowly gains the trust of the family and settles down.
