Set in 1950, in London, City has recovered from the second world war and glamour is at its full level. Reynolds Woodcock (Daniel Day-Lewis) is a well known dressmaker of the city. Along with his sister Cyril (Lesley Manville), they design suits for famous people of the city like movie stars, socialites and heiresses. Reynold’s well organized life is shattered when a strong will girl named Alma (Vicky Krieps) comes into his life. He falls in love with her beauty and his business gets disrupted with this relationship as he is afraid of loving her and thinks he is being cursed not to love.
